Installation Instructions
The easiest method of installing MIRACLE LINUX 8 in a virtual machine is to use the standard MIRACLE LINUX distribution CD. Installing MIRACLE LINUX 8 via the boot floppy/network method is also supported.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, verify that the following tasks are complete:
- Read General Installation Instructions for All VMware Products.
- Create and configure a new virtual machine.
Installation Steps
- Insert the MIRACLE LINUX 8 CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
- Power on the virtual machine to start installing MIRACLE LINUX 8.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
- Install VMware Tools.

Do not start the X server in the guest operating system until you install VMware Tools.
