Installation Instructions
The easiest method of installing Toshiba 4690 V6 in a virtual machine is to use the standard Toshiba distribution CD.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, verify that the following tasks are complete:
- Read General Installation Instructions for All VMware Products.
- Configure your virtual machine with between 1 GB and 4 GB of memory. A minimum of 2 GB is recommended.
- Configure the vCPU with two cores.
For ESXi 5.0 and later, you can configure the vCPUs from the VMware vSphere client user interface.
For ESX 4.1, refer to KB 1010184 for information on how to modify the number of vCPUs per virtual socket. - When creating the virtual machine, select the Flexible network adapter and the LSI Logic Parallel SCSI adapter.
Installation Steps
- Insert the Toshiba 4690 V6 CD in the CD-ROM drive.
- Power on the virtual machine to start installing Toshiba 4690 V6.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
